The Dallas-Ft. Worth real estate market is going strong; understanding the drivers in the market allows for re-calibration of the supply to its demand. Texas is still leading the nation in migration at a rate of 1,000 people per day. With so many companies relocating and calling Texas home, it may come as a surprise that most of these migrants are coming from other countries, while the lesser portion moving from other states. About 45% of international migrants have come from Asia, particularly China and India. Jobs are still the main attraction for domestic migration especially among the highly educated, with the majority coming from California, but also Illinois, Florida, New York and Louisiana.

Coppell has a population of 42,372 and has grown 9.6% since the last census in 2010. Coppell's median age is 41.1 yrs old, with 50.95% being female and 49.05% male. According to the U.S. Census, home ownership hovers around 72.8%.

It's popularity stems not only from it's central location within DFW and proximity to many points of interest, airports, etc., as well as its upbeat, outdoorsy and friendly community vibe, but also from its highly desired school district. Coppell ISD ranks #5 of the Texas School Districts and has therefore commanded the attention of many Texas families with school-aged children, who can ensure a great public education for them. Because Coppell is small in area, only 14.5 square miles, there is not a lot of new construction happening there; however buyers find many older homes have been well maintained or worth the renovation for their premium location.
