As a REALTOR® who lives in Carrollton, Texas, people sometimes ask “What is great about Carrollton?” There is a reason my website is called Greater Dallas Living. There are many great places to live in DFW. For me, Carrollton is one of the best places to live in North Texas.

Mary Heads Carter Park

Carrollton spans across Denton, Dallas and Collin counties, with a population of about 141,493, made up of many families and young professionals So, it is a little big town in a way. Most residents own their homes and it is a great place to raise a family.

You will find that Carrollton has a dense suburban feel with lots of restaurants, parks and trails, and coffee shops. Homes range in age and style – you can find your retro 1960s charmer or your contemporary new construction house, built just for you.

Downtown historic Carrollton is a great place to visit and hang with friends and families. There is always something going on there as the city invests a lot to keep it lively for its residents. Other notable amenities include the active libraries, senior, recreational, and aquatic centers that will keep you and your family busy and entertained.

Rosemeade Aquatic Center

Lewisville, Dallas, and Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISDs all offer some highly rated public and charter schools here.

There are over 9,000 businesses who make their home in Carrollton and are drawn here because of the city's location and business cost advantages.

As someone who has lived all over the world and speaks multiple languages, cultural diversity is very important to me – and you will find Carrollton is highly diverse and very friendly. You will meet many people from all around the world; this also adds to the wide variety of restaurants, shopping and activities here.

Carrollton ranks:

Also, Carrollton is about 20 minutes from just about everything in the heart of the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. It is a short distance from DFW Airport, and access to I-35, George Bush Turnpike, Dallas North Tollway, and Highway 121 are all within reach.
